History

Established in 1994, Branzas starts its activity in Cluj-Napoca as a brand consultancy and design agency. In 1996, Branzas realizes one of the first major branding projects in Romania – the Ursus brand. The project brings the first acknowledgement of the Branzas activity in the branding field by “The Design Excellence Award”, received in 1998 for the Ursus identity.

In 1998, Branzas extends its services at national level and starts the collaboration with Tiriac Holdings. From this moment on, Branzas distinguished itself as a brand agency that combines naturally and harmoniously consultancy and creation. Two other awards come to reward the agency’s creations: “The First Award from Innovation” given by the Romanian Foundation for Design / BAT for the Impress calendar and “The Best Ad Print of the Year” appreciated by the Autoshow Magazine for the image campaign of MOL lubricants in 2001.

As a result of the collaboration with companies like Microsoft Romania, Lafarge, IBM Romania, in 2003 a new type of service is launched: design and creation of unique objects or scanty series for high protocol.

In 2004, Branzas gets involved in one of the biggest process for product and brand, together with Tiriac Holdings: the joining together under one umbrella of all companies belonging to the auto division of Tiriac Holdings. The result of the project was the creation of the new Tiriac Auto brand, to which a new distinct and defining identity was given, underlining the premium and market pioneer brand of Tiriac Auto.

For Branzas, 2004 brings a growth without precedent in brand developing activity for successful Romanian companies, which become market leaders in their activity fields – Elis Pavaje and Autonet.

2006 brings Ursus back in the spotlight.The pressure from the part of international competition asked for innovation, and redefining of the Ursus brand. Through the new packaging and redesign of the label Ursus repositioned itself as a raffinate and elegant Romanian brand, which belongs without doubts to the premium segment. The Ursus rebranding meant the strengthen in the premium category of an authentic Romanian brand.

2007 brings for Branzas new openings to new fields of interest through the developing of brands for prestigious companies like: Continental Hotels – high class tourism, Ave Impex – chicken meat, Lactate Harghita – diary products. The client portfolio extends continuously, as a consequence of directly achieved experience and improvement of Branzas competencies.
